Combined they share nearly 200 years of coaching experience and have worked with more than 45 athletes who went on to become individual state medalists. Additionally, between the coaches there are also 8 state championship team titles and 10 state runner-up team finishes.

Coach Rob Ahrens

Coach Ahrens has 16 years of high school and college coaching experience. He has coached multiple district champions and state medalists as well as 2013 Foot Locker Cross Country Champion Tessa Barrett. He currently serves as the Head Women's and Men's Cross Country Coach at Gannon University. Prior to Gannon, he was Head Cross Country/Track & Field coach at Marywood University for four years, winning 12 conference championships. He was voted twelve-time Atlantic East Conference Coach of the Year. His own running success includes winning the Hershey Half Marathon, Scranton Half Marathon, and Binghamton Bridge Run in addition to placing in the top 5 in the Steamtown Marathon three times.

Coach Jeff Brandt

Coach Brandt began coaching at Danville Area High School in Fall of 1978 in Cross Country and Track and Field. Prior to that, he ran at Hershey High School and Bloomsburg State College (University) in both Cross Country and Track and Field. Coached a total of 34 PIAA District IV Team Titles (12 Boys and 22 Girls), and 12 Individual District IV Titles (5 Times a Boy and 7 Times a Girl Won). Coach Corey Dufrene

Coach Dufrene began his coaching career in 2005 at Warrior Run as an assistant track and field coach and took over as the head cross country coach in 2012. During his 18 years, he has coached multiple district champions and state medalists in both cross country and track and field. He helped lead the Warrior Run girl’s cross country program to its first ever state championship in 2020 and was awarded the Pennsylvania Girls “State Coach of the Year.” Throughout the years, Coach Dufrene enjoys the relationships he has developed with other coaches and helping his athletes gain a love of running.

Coach Kip Hoffman

Coach Hoffman has 24 years of coaching including 7 years as head coach at Warrior Run High School, 10 years assistant coach at Bucknell University, and 2 years as head coach at Lycoming College. He is currently back at Warrior Run as an assistant coach. As an athlete, he competed at Warrior Run and Bloomsburg University. Coach Tom Williams

In 1994 Coach Tom Williams was one of the coaches who helped start our camp, and with nearly 35 years of experience including middle school, high school, and collegiate programs, it’s safe to say he’s one of camp’s most seasoned coaches. One of Coach Williams’ fondest memories as a coach (besides camp) is helping two of his former athletes, Coach Dufrene and Coach Hoffman, coach the Warrior Run girl’s cross country program to their state title in 2020. Throughout his years in the sport, Coach Williams has valued the friendships he has made with other coaches and the opportunities to see hundred of athletes embrace the sport.
